Our service will continue to be provided on a Pay-As-You-Feel donation basis

Our revenues from cafes and events have reduced considerably whilst our overheads continue to roll on at their current level.

We welcome donations by those people who are prepared to ‘pay forward’ in order that others in the community can benefit from this service.

We are also happy to accept food donations from the public and businesses.

Thank you to everyone who has responded to our shout out for volunteers.  We’ve had loads of responses, particularly from people who are furloughed.  Unfortunately, we have very few opportunities to get involved right now.  That said, we’d sill love to hear from you so you can register your interest in volunteering here.

Brighton and Hove City Council have a web based referral system for people in need of food and other basic essentials because they don’t want to or cannot leave the house or because they lack money to buy food.

And finally …

This is an extremely stressful time for everyone.  The ability to feed yourself and your family is a fundamental need and it’s not surprising that some people are unable to cope.  But please remember, we are a volunteer-led organisation and we’re doing our utmost to help.  We ask you to act with respect and patience.

We will not tolerate any behaviour which results in any of our volunteers or guests being abused or threatened.

We will not serve anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
